Nili Lotan debuts menswear collection

Jeremy Lim
25 July 2022

New York-based fashion designer Nili Lotan is is making her entrance into menswear for Pre-Autumn 2022.

The collection marks a "natural progression" for the Israeli-American designer who originally comes from a menswear design aesthetic, and follows the launch of her womenswear label 19 years ago.

The inaugural offering will include a range of classic shirting, pants, jackets, and occasion-wear ranging in price from $185 for cotton jersey tees to $2,195 for a leather jacket.

Lotan, who founded her own line in 2003, started out at fashion companies including Liz Claiborne, Nautica, and Ralph Lauren as a fashion designer.

In a statement, Lotan said: "Thinking thoughtfully about the essential luxury pieces every man, husband, and boyfriend of my client would need, I built a full men’s wardrobe.

"As with women’s, I wanted to create something nonchalant and sophisticated. I started with relaxed-fit pants in both Italian cotton and wool, then to luxurious cashmere sweaters, shearlings, and finally leather pieces and cool, relaxed utilitarian outerwear. The men’s line is a natural extension of my design philosophy. Elevated wardrobe essentials that transcend time."

The collection will be available on 23 July online and at select retailers including Mr Porter, Matchesfashion, Ssence, Saks and Shopbop.
