Heritage US eyewear brand Moscot has opened a new 280 sq ft store at 68 Marylebone High Street, adding to its existing London stores on Beak Street in Soho, Long Acre in Covent Garden and King’s Road in Chelsea.

The New York-based fifth-generation family-owned eyewear brand, which was founded in 1915, has yet again created a nostalgic feel to the store, which is described as "like stepping into Great Grandma Sylvia Moscot’s living room", with historical artefacts and "paraphernalia of New York’s storied past".

Moscot CEO, Harvey Moscot, said: "Like New York, London is a cultural hub. We have been fortunate to open shops on Beak Street in Soho, Long Acre in Covent Garden and King’s Road in Chelsea – each with its distinct personality – and we are thrilled to extend the optical expertise and exceptional customer service for which Moscot is known around the world. Outside New York, London is a second home to Moscot."

Moscot Chief Design Officer, Zack Moscot, added: "We believe the local clientele in Marylebone will appreciate a dash of New York’s Lower East Side. To a neighbourhood filled with charming streets, high-end restaurants, and unique boutiques, Moscot feels like a natural addition."

The new store in Marylebone marks the brand’s 12th in Europe and 25th worldwide. Aside from New York and London, Moscot has stores in Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Seoul and Tokyo.
