Martone Cycling Co and RON DORFF launch latest collaboration

10 April 2017

Lorenzo Martone has developed the bike you will definitely be seen riding. You will NOT go unnoticed on a bike in so many vivid colours that they look candy. He designed them “to stand out against the other bikes in London”, such as the standard dark coloured bikes you see chained up in public or even the iconic red “Boris bikes” currently sponsored by Santander.

Martone Cycling Company was launched in 2013 by Lorenzo Martone after a career in advertising, talent management, fashion PR and other creative, entrepreneurial ventures. His passion for riding, and even his story of his favourite bicycle as a child, spurred his idea to establish something unique and creative albeit among an already crowded bicycle industry.

What sets Martone Cycling apart from others are their signatures: the red chain link, vintage looking handlebar basket, and, of course, the overall design of a very lightweight bicycle. The bicycles are safe for any city riding, which is vital in the primary regions such as New York, London, and other European cities in which bicycles are sold en masse. “Amsterdam is definitely an influence”, Martone revealed when discussing the impact of “bike culture” and a lifestyle brand.

Last week, MARTONE CYCLING and contemporary men's sports-influenced brand RON DORFF launched a new and improved VELO/LOVE kit; this was their second collaboration. The bicycles are available at Ron Dorff stores in London and Paris and on the respective Martone Cycling Co websites. You can pop into the Ron Dorff store in Seven Dials, Covent Garden to see the VELO/LOVE bikes and matching apparel until 1 September.
