Luxe Collective appoints former Adidas director as first Chief Trade Officer

Preloved luxury reseller Luxe Collective has appointed Andy Hamilton as its first Chief Trade Officer as it gears up for further expansion.

Hamilton will be responsible for developing the retailer's trade and e-commerce strategies, working alongside CEO Ben Gallagher, CPO Joe Gallagher, and COO Oliver Millar.

He brings experience from a long-standing career in sales, having previously spent 14 years at Adidas in various roles.

Hamilton most recently served as Director of Sales Development at the sportswear brand before moving to consulting in 2021.

His appointment as CTO comes ahead of a busy year for Luxe Collective, which is preparing for expansion, thanks to an investment secured through Dragons’ Den earlier this year.

It marks another milestone in the retailer's growth, with the northern business now boasting a brand-new 10,000-square-foot office space and a growing team of 30 employees.

"I’ve been keeping an eye on the successful growth of Luxe Collective for several years so to be asked to join and play an active role is a genuine honour," said Hamilton.

"The business is now transitioning from start-up to scalable, midsized organisation in the new, purpose-built Burscough location. This change will require different skills and capabilities to go alongside the incredible energy and talent of the core team.

"I hope to be able to help provide some of the necessary experience and leadership qualities in 2024."
