Longchamp has published its latest business update, revealing that its "remarkable development" and "record" sales created 500 new jobs by the end of 2023.

This year, La Maison Longchamp revenues reached a new record - sales were up by 44% on the previous year. All the brand’s countries and distribution networks contributed to this growth, with remarkable development in mainland China (up 84%).

La Maison Longchamp has been owned and operated by the Cassegrain family for four generations, since its establishment in 1948. Today, its products are sold through a network of over 400 exclusive boutiques worldwide.

The brand, which doesn't frequently open stores as part of its strategy, opened seven new standalone boutiques in China in 2023. This growth created 500 new jobs, half of them in France.

Longchamp employs 3,500 people worldwide. 1,425 of these are in France, at its headquarters in Paris, its boutiques and its French workshops.

The company's global retail network also includes about 50 franchised stores, with approximately 1,000 multi-brand retailers. It also boasts a revamped online shop, which saw an impressive sales boost as a result of its complete renovation. The company’s online sales rose by 56% in 2023 and have increased fivefold since 2019.
