Liverpool ONE secures Boss upsize and relocation
German premium fashion brand Boss has confirmed it will upsize and relocate its store at Liverpool ONE.
Taking a new, prominent space on Paradise Street, the 13,500 sq ft flagship Boss store marks a 130% upsize in total trading area and is a "vote of confidence in the destination" from a leading international brand, according to the retail destination.
The upsized Liverpool ONE space is set to open in early 2023 and will stock Boss’ menswear and womenswear collections, as well as seasonal capsule collections. The new Liverpool ONE store will provide "even greater capabilities to showcase BOSS apparel", delivering on the brand’s commitment to quality, design and adaptability.
Joining Boss’ international portfolio of stores, the announcement of the brand’s new Liverpool ONE flagship follows Hugo Boss’ record-breaking quarter. Digital sales for the third quarter of 2022 were up 20%, reflecting a double-digit sales increase on the Hugo Boss website and improvements in digital revenues generated with the company's partners. Bricks and mortar retail sales were also up 18%.
Last month, Frasers Group increased its strategic investment in Hugo Boss yet again, meaning it now controls almost 35% of the luxury brand's share capital.
Rob Deacon, Senior Asset Manager, Grosvenor, commented: “Securing the relocation and upsize of BOSS at Liverpool ONE is a key moment for us, particularly as it evidences yet more commitment to the destination from a premium, international brand. We’re proud to be experiencing sustained demand from the very best names, cementing our position as one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations. We look forward to witnessing BOSS’ continued success at Liverpool ONE.”
BOSS’ upsized store will join a strong roster of retail brands that have opened over the course of 2022 at Liverpool ONE, including Tessuti, Russell & Bromley and global powerhouse beauty brand, Charlotte Tilbury, who launched their latest ‘Beauty Wonderland’ at the destination, marking their first store outside of London and first UK opening in six years.
