Libre London opens first brick-and-mortar store in London

Ecommerce retailer Libre London, which specialises in womenswear and vegan beauty, is opening its first-ever pop-up shop in the heart of Covent Garden.

Longmartin Properties Ltd, along with Shaftesbury Capital and the Mercers’ Company, announced that Libre London has secured a retail space at The Yards in Covent Garden.

The 2,000 sq ft retail unit is situated at 138 Long Acre and will remain open until the end of June 2023. It features a selection of women’s clothing, jewellery, bags, and accessories, as well as vegan makeup and skincare.

Abi Labbett, Senior Director at CBRE, said: "It is great to be adding another retail element to The Yards. Libre London adds something unique, specialising in not just fashion, but beauty and skincare too, and given the success of its online platform, there is no doubt that it will be able to continue this positive trajectory into bricks-and-mortar."

Libre London launched its online store in 2021, which boasts a curated mix of products, ranging from big-label brands such as Fiorelli, Valentino, and Baims, to smaller independents such as Acala, Sintra Naturals, and Penti. The move into brick-and-mortar comes after the company reported significant success in the online space.

The company joins existing retailers at the destination such as & Other Stories, Lululemon, and The White Company.

This follows the news of Odd Muse’s pop-up at The Yards, as well as the recent arrival of Townhouse at 6 Slingsby Place.
