Global denim label, Lee, has today launched its first unisex apparel collection with Roaringwild, the China-based streetwear brand.

Both brands came together to create a capsule collection that highlights music's ties to streetwear culture. It merges Lee’s signature denim silhouettes with Roaringwild's emphatic energy, to present "boundary-pushing designs".

Brigid Stevens, Global Vice President of Marketing at Lee, commented: "This collection is a big step for Lee as it is our first fully unisex collection and one that’s available globally.

"Lee has been in Asian markets for nearly 30 years and is the leader in denim in China. Roaringwild is one of the biggest streetwear brands there; we’re proud to be their first denim collaboration and showcase this unique vision to our consumers around the globe."

Inspired by the nostalgia of the ‘80s art and electronic club scene, the capsule features graphic tees, denim jackets and jeans in oversized fits.

Roaringwild's Creative Director, Meng Bing, added: "The inspiration for this collection comes from electronic music and youth culture, especially the part of electronic music. We summarized four keywords: SYNTHPOP, NEW WAVE, POST PUNK and HOUSE.

"The graphic design was inspired by the ‘80s, particularly the pattern of sound waves. We also mixed our tailoring with the classic Lee silhouette. Altogether the collection represents a rebellious spirit."

The products range from sizes XS to XL with prices ranging from £65 to £200. The Lee x Roaringwild collab is available in Lee stores and online now. The collection will also feature in Roaringwild's Shangai Fashion Week showcase.

Lee also made its way onto the catwalk at London Fashion Week when the brand collaborated with the British fashion designer Patrick McDowell.

Patrick McDowell's theatrically inspired ‘Tragedy of Fashion’ collection was created in collaboration with the acclaimed London dance school, Rambert. Juxtaposing the notions of elegant fluidity and movement, the designer collaborated with Lee’s durable and workwear-rooted denim.
