Landsec has announced the appointment of Jennie Colville as Head of ESG and Sustainability, where she will lead the company's sustainability strategy and its implementation across its' £10.8 billion portfolio.

A 20-year veteran of sustainability, Colville comes to Landsec after three years at Capita, where she was the Responsible Business Director. Prior to that, she held numerous roles at both public and private sector companies including RSA Insurance Group, Kent County Council and Linklaters.

In the course of her career, Colville has supported over 500 small and medium businesses to improve their environmental performance, secured £2.5 million to deliver a grant scheme for businesses in the low carbon sector and implemented a global law firm’s first ever ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

Nick de Mestre, Managing Director, Strategy, Research and Corporate Finance at Landsec, said: “Under Jennie’s stewardship, we will continue to build on our market leading ESG efforts ensuring our approach to sustainability continues to underpin our purpose of creating sustainable places, connecting communities and realising potential. We’re thrilled to have her on board as we continue to find new ways to expand our impact.”

Jennie Colville, Head of ESG and Sustainability, added: “Landsec embraces sustainability and makes a point to build, invest and care for buildings with respect to the changing needs of its communities and our planet. With a clear strategy and commitments in place, Landsec has established itself as an early leader in this area and a force for good in society. I look forward to working with the team to build on its leadership position.”
