Manolo Blahnik, the luxury footwear and accessories brand, has today promoted Jodie Blake from Head of Marketing and Communications to Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately.

Blake joined Manolo Blahnik in 2019 as Head of Marketing and Communications. During this time, she was responsible for overseeing the London head office Communications department. Working closely with former CMO, Carla Filmer, has prepared her to step into the role.

As CMO,  lake is now responsible for "delivering and executing the global communications strategy for the brand" under the direction of Founder Manolo Blahnik and CEO Kristina Blahnik.

She will also oversee new market launches and the accompanying communications strategy as Manolo plans global growth in Asia, North America and Europe. In addition, she will work with Elodie Bougenault, Chief Commercial Officer, on developing an elevated customer experience programme.

Jodie Blake said: "Manolo Blahnik is a truly wonderful business to work for and I am incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to professionally develop within the company.

"I feel deeply passionate about the company values and highly motivated to work alongside our CEO, Kristina Blahnik, and the wider leadership team to deliver our ambitions growth plans and strategic goals for 2024 and the years to come."

Prior to her time at Manolo Blahnik, Blake held the position of Head of Marketing and Communications at Self-Portrait. During her time there, she built and oversaw the company’s first in-house marketing team. Her previous roles include Senior Account Director at The Communications Store, where she led the UK and global PR strategies for brands including Erdem, Emilia Wickstead, Max Mara, Oscar de la Renta, Pinterest, and The Conran Shop.

Kristina Blahnik, Chief Executive Officer, added: "With her understanding of the Manolo Blahnik business that she garnered over the past five years, in addition to the experience she has gained in her previous roles within the luxury fashion space, I believe Jodie is the perfect person to step into this role.

"I feel proud to see Jodie’s transition into a C-Suite position and pleased that as a business we are able to promote internally... I very much look forward to building further on the exciting work already underway with Jodie."
