INUIKII collaborates with British knitwear designer Niamh Emily Foster

Sustainable Swiss-based footwear brand INUIKII has partnered with British knitter and fashion designer Niamh Emily Foster to create a limited-edition collection for SS23.

The collection, which is made up of hand-knitted sweaters and sneakers, was conceptualised through experimenting with yarn, mohair and leather to create avant-garde creations.

After graduating from London College of Fashion, the British designer began creating wearable art from reused yarns by hand. Her experimental knitwear takes the shape of skirts, dresses and more.

Two years in the making, INUIKII x Niamh Emily Foster has unveiled the “exciting collaboration born out of a shared love for the unexpected”.

INUIKII was founded by Cinzia Maag and her sons Danilo and Alessio in 2013, initially as a brand for the colder months, when both style and function is key.

The word INUIKII, describes the beauty of two meanings: In the language of Inuit, ‘INU’ is a word meaning attractive used to describe girls, and ‘IKII’ means cold. Together, the words represent the beauty of the cold.

The footwear brand marks its 10th anniversary with its first-ever collaboration with a British designer, bringing its sustainable shoes to a whole new audience and knit-loving community.

The collection is available now at INUIKII.com, with prices ranging from £194 - £256.

Back in October 2021, INUIKKI expanded its UK footprint with its arrival at Selfridges' Oxford Street store. However, it is no longer stocked at the iconic department store.
