In Pictures: Victoria’s Secret brings sexy back to Bristol
Lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret and its sister brand VS PINK have today opened the doors to its highly-anticipated store at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.
The new store is the first standalone in the UK to model Victoria’s Secret’s new concept design, featuring an enhanced retail experience centred around the customer.
The overhaul includes softer lighting and an updated colour palette of pale pinks and brushed brass finishings. Visitors can also take advantage of the “click & collect” service and updated digital-led brand touchpoints.
In-store, customers can shop the brand’s full product assortment including bras, knickers, lingerie, sleepwear and the fragrance portfolio - alongside sister brand VS PINK.
To commemorate the opening, a flurry of events and activations are planned for this weekend including special offers and a guest DJ set.
Previously, after Victoria's Secret closed its Cabot Circus store in Bristol over a year ago, customers had to travel to the closest branch in Cardiff or shop online at NEXT. NEXT purchased the British leg of the Victoria’s Secret brand in September 2020 after it went into administration in June 2020. NEXT now owns a 51% controlling stake.
This move is part of Victoria's Secret's plan to inject the 'sex' back into its brand after its more inclusive, feminist repositioning failed to reverse declining sales. The US lingerie giant has projected revenue for 2023 at $6.2 billion (£5.1 billion), which would be 5% down 2022 – and a significant drop on the $7.5 billion (£6.2 billion) revenue it reported in 2020.
