In Pictures: Represent set to launch ‘Tailored Package’

British streetwear brand Represent is launching an eight-piece ‘Tailored Package’ on 18 October, in what is described as a "new brand moment and direction".

It’s not the first time that the brand, which was founded by brothers George and Mike Heaton in 2011, has introduced tailoring, having had a previous capsule line in 2018.

However, the new package shows a clear evolution since then, with more "sophisticated and elevated" style.

There are double-breasted blazers, double-breasted coats, a ‘smart jacket’, wide fit tailored trousers and two footwear silhouettes.

The garments are crafted from luxury fabrics such as virgin wool and alpaca, with attention placed on fit, versatility and finishing details.

At the forefront of the collection is the ‘Double Breasted Overcoat’ - a heavy outerwear piece featuring a wide lapel, cut in a slightly oversized silhouette. It comes in jet black and a woven yarn black/white option, and is finished off with a Represent initial logo pin to the lapel.

The ‘Double Breasted Blazer’ comes in the same jet black and black/white colourways. With a tailored fit and peak lapel, the blazer falls at the hip and again has a metal initial logo pin to the lapel.

The ‘Smart Jacket’ is described as "an elevated everyday piece, perfect for dressing up casual outfits or dressing down formal". Once again in a slightly oversized fit, it features two zip closures to the front and a popper fastening to the stand collar.

To pair with the tailored jackets, the wide leg trousers have a zip closure to the inside leg to allow a split hem to drape over the wearer’s shoes, or a full break in the leg.

To finish off, the two new footwear silhouettes are a Chelsea boot and a Derby shoe. The boot is crafted from a cow leather upper with tumbled leather underlays. It has a  square toe featuring typical Represent zigzag stitching in red, and the elastic gusset is patterned with ‘R’ initial detailing. It’s finished with a metal initial logo pin to the back of the heel. The Derby shoe features an ‘R’ initial buckle with a leather strap, again with an initial pin on the heel.

Overall, the capsule collection is a "more refined vision in Represent’s mission to supply a complete wardrobe for every occasion".
