Premium womenswear retailer, Reiss, has today launched ‘Reiss Atelier’ – a collection of timeless stapes crafted from luxurious fabrics.

The retailer, which is no stranger to the high street, has moved into the world of artisanship with its new offering. ‘Atelier’ isn’t just a word, the company boasts an in-house atelier based in its head offices on Picton Place in London. Here, skilled team applies its craftsmanship to create pieces that embody true luxury.

The new collection, inspired by the archive, features frame-skimming silhouettes for a sensual yet elegant look. Neutral hues are blended with quiet animal prints, while the fabrics are sourced from trusted European mills.

Fabrics include duchess satin, that offers fluidity yet the weight of a luxury fabric, and Tricetate yarm, which is crease resistant and long lasting. Of course, Reiss’ fine Italian wools don’t go amiss.

Una Joyce, Womenswear Director at Reiss, commented: "Our customer comes to us for an elevated wardrobe, and Reiss Atelier delivers on that, with effortlessly chic occasion pieces that are timeless. ‘Atelier’ provokes the idea of bespoke craftsmanship, design consideration, and ultimate luxury."

The first drop of the Reiss Atelier collection will include 37 styles and is available now online and in select stores.

This follows the news that NEXT and the Reiss family have bought out private equity firm Warburg Princus’ 34% interest in Reiss for £128m, increasing NEXT’s stake in the business from 51% to 72%.

The deal is expected to finalise in mid-October 2023, and it will also mean the family’s holding will increase to 22% and the Reiss management team will hold 6% equity in the business.
