International fashion brand Khaadi has opened its first store in Scotland at the Silverburn shopping destination in Glasgow.
The 2,700 sq ft store has opened next to luxury store Flannels, which is also new to the centre, and features a fusion of East and West design elements finished in natural materials, designed to showcase the brand's colourful designs. Khaadi means “hand-woven” in Urdu and its store in Glasgow is its seventh in the UK.
Khaadi CEO Rehan Syed said Silverburn was "the perfect place for us to open our debut store in Scotland and we’ve already had a warm welcome from our new customer base. The strong reputation of the centre in Scotland gives us a firm foundation to build our presence in a new UK region.”
Commenting on the opening, Iain Mitchell, Hammerson UK Commercial Director, said: “Khaadi is a great addition to Silverburn, which adds to the existing varied and extensive range for our shoppers. Silverburn’s reputation as the region’s leading retail and leisure destination has led to numerous retailers launching their brand at the centre, including Flannels and Tim Horton’s most recently. We are confident that the quality of the retail mix will ensure this trend continues.”
