In Pictures: Dior returns to Harrods with new Parisian-themed experiential pop-up

Luxury French house Dior has once again descended upon department store Harrods, this time with a Parisian-themed festive summer pop-up shop.

In honour of the friendship forged with Harrods over nearly seventy years, Dior is presenting its fall 2023 women's collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri with a series of pop-up shops across the ground floor at the department store. What’s more its new map print takes centre stage in the opulent Knightsbridge windows, inviting customers to enter the fabulous world of Dior.

The three shops, which showcase ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories, will be open during the last month of summer from 4-27 August.

The first shop recreates a library decorated with the brand’s Plan de Paris print inspired by a scarf designed by Monsieur Dior in the 1950s.

The second space takes the form of a gift shop adorned with Dior’s Florilegio print.

The third and final space of the 'captivating odyssey' recreates a chromatic cabinet of curiosities, showcasing Dior's renowned leather goods. Items on offer include variations of the Lady Dior and Lady D-Joy bags.

Dior and Harrods are longtime collaborators. From November to January, Dior took the wraps of a spectacular festive take-over at Harrods for Christmas encompassing an illuminated façade, dedicated windows, a café, gift shop and exhibition.

The ambitious takeover was heralded by a monumental installation on the ornate Edwardian façade of the Knightsbridge store comprising Dior house codes, such as the compass rose, lucky starts and 'scintillating' flowers, reinterpreted by artist Pierro Ruffo for the Dior Cruise 2023 collection.
