British menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt has today opened a new 4,200 sq ft flagship store at 218 Regent Street – set over two floors.

The fully renovated grade-listed building features a marble spiral staircase leading customers to the spacious downstairs floor, which includes a lavish VIP area for appointments and a "never-ending wall" of shirts. Also in store are the brand's tailored suits, relaxed blazers, knitwear, polos, chinos and leather trainers.

Charles Tyrwhitt, which was founded by entrepreneur Nick Wheeler in Bristol in 1986, has also paid homage to the building's historical façade by installing bronzed elements within the store, hoping to create an "elevated customer experience".

The new store, which replaces the old Charles Tyrwhitt location at 90 Regent Street, marks the brand’s eighth new store in just over a year, with others located on London’s Cannon Street, Victoria, Guildford, Milton Keynes, Reading, Chelmsford and Bristol.

The retail roll-out is also set to continue, with an additional 10 stores planned to open over the next 18 months.

Commenting on the new Regent Street opening, Joe Irons, Chief Marketing Officer at Charles Tyrwhitt, said: "The iconic shopping street not only boasts some of the best footfall in the UK but also is synonymous with great, premium retail brands.

"The Regent Street location really does lend itself well to a whole experience, it’s where people want to enjoy beautiful stores, an unparalleled customer service experience and great products."
