Hugo Boss celebrates the legacy of Freddie Mercury with new collection

Hugo Boss's BOSS label has today launches a unique capsule collection celebrating the attitude, vision and spirit of singer, songwriter, and performer Freddie Mercury.

The shared ethos between brand and artist "exemplifies the desire to defy convention, live life on your own terms, and be your own Boss", according to the brand. This June during pride month, the company has chosen to pay tribute to the musician, game-changing performer and LGBTQ+ icon.

A portion of all proceeds will go to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, who fight HIV/AIDS in the developing world by funding programmes focusing on education and awareness, particularly aiming at young people in and out of school.

The exclusive designs are available in black, white, or a bright yellow inspired by the jacket worn by Mercury during his last tour with Queen in 1986, a standout fashion moment that symbolises Mercury’s ability to break barriers in bold style.

The capsule contains t-shirts and hoodies printed with black and white photos of some of his renowned performances. Each is accompanied by his autograph or a specially created combined Boss logo and autograph motif.

The collaboration was made in partnership by Bravado, Universal Music Group’s brand management division, and Mercury Songs Ltd. TheIndustry.fashion recently interviewed David Boyne, Managing Director of Bravado.
