After a slew of closures, Hobbs is back and better than ever with the opening of seven new stores including prime spots in Canary Wharf, Watford and Trafford Manchester.

Hobbs, which closed stores in London’s Bloomsbury, Victoria and Islington in recent weeks, has confirmed seven new locations to open this year.

It is also set to open new shops overseas in Hong Kong, Cork in Ireland, Hamburg in Germany and Westchester in New York State, bringing its total number of stores to approximately 80.

The fashion brand told The Times that its store opening strategy "aims to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers through an improved distribution of stores, not only in the capital but the wider nation, too".

Hobbs, which also operates 128 concessions in Britain and overseas, was founded by Marilyn Anselm in Hampstead, London in 1981.

Renowned for its timeless elegance and modern design, Hobbs epitomizes British sophistication. Anselm envisioned creating chic, versatile pieces for professional women, and the brand has since become synonymous with refined tailoring and luxurious fabrics.

In 2004 private equity group, 3i, purchased Hobbs for £111 million. In 2017, the group sold Hobbs to TFG London, the British division of South Africa’s Foschini Group.
