Filippa K has appointed minimalist designer Anna Teurnell to the role of Creative Director, effective immediately.

In her new role, Teurnell will oversee all creative aspects of the brand. Meanwhile, the designer will continue to lead her eponymous label, Teurn Studios. She succeeds Liisa Kessler, who sat at the helm of the luxury Swedish brand for just two years.

In a statement, Anna Teurnell said: "I am delighted with this opportunity and excited to contribute to the evolution of a brand that has held a special place in my heart for decades. I see extraordinary potential in Filippa K, both on a global and local scale. Working closely with the teams, my foremost objective will be to define and develop the next generation of the brand's iconic products.”

Prior to her new appointment, Teurnell worked for many years at brands under the H&M Group. From 2003 to 2023, she held creative roles at &Other Stories, Arket and H&M. She continues her career journey at fellow Scandaniavna brand, which has a similar minimalist DNA.

Marie Forssenius, Interim CEO of Filippa K, added: "We are thrilled to welcome Anna Teurnell as the new director of creation at Filippa K. Her unparalleled expertise in design and merchandising, coupled with her innate sense of timeless style, naturally aligns with our core values. We are confident that this appointment will advance our strategy and drive Filippa K's growth.”

Founded by Filippa Knutsson in 1993, Filippa K has grown internationally to become a household name in the Nordics. Owned by Novax, the investment arm of Axel Johnson, and the brand founders, the fashion house has stores in key European cities including Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Berlin, and is present in over 70 markets globally through e-commerce.
