Tom Bottomley
17 April 2024

Harvey Nichols has appointed Julia Goddard, currently EMEA President of Alexander McQueen, as its new Chief Executive Officer, commencing in June 2024.

Goddard has been at Alexander McQueen for almost 14 years and has led the EMEA region as President since 2019 with "dynamic growth and expansion" in wholesale, retail and e-concession channels. This included new flagships in key cities such as London, Paris, Milan, Rome, Dubai, Kuwait, and Qatar – with a "strong focus on retail excellence" and VIP customers.

Prior to joining Alexander McQueen as International Sales Manager of McQ in 2010, Goddard spent just over a year as Head of Sales at Jasmine di Milo, and before that, she was Head of Global Sales at Aquascutum (from January 2007 to August 2009).

Goddard will sit on the management board of Harvey Nichols and will report to Sir Dickson Poon and Pearson Poon, Chairman and Vice Chairman of Harvey Nichols.

Sir Dickson Poon said: "We are delighted to welcome Julia as our new Chief Executive Officer. Julia is a dynamic business leader with a strong track record of delivering quality growth and successfully developing and executing a very important customer strategy. Her expertise and strategic capabilities will be invaluable in delivering long term sustainable growth for Harvey Nichols."

Goddard added: "I am thrilled to be joining Harvey Nichols as Chief Executive Officer. The opportunities that exist within this iconic brand fill me with excitement and enthusiasm. I very much look forward to working with the team to accelerate growth and strengthen the position of Harvey Nichols."
