Footasylum to open Oxford Street flagship

Footasylum is planning to open a new flagship store on London's Oxford Street this year as demand for streetwear continues to soar.

Located at 73-89 Oxford Street and due to open during the second half of the year, the store will trade across 20,000 sq ft over two floors with additional customer service and click-and-collect lockers located in the store’s basement. 

The opening will be a boost for Oxford Street as it recovers from high profile closures in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, such as large branches of Debenhams and House of Fraser to name just two. Nonetheless, the historic West End street is one of Europe's premier shopping destinations and home to 300 stores attracting around 200 million shoppers a year.

This new flagship store will be the latest in a line of Footasylum site openings, as it continues with an ambitious expansion programme following its acquisition from JD Sports by the AURELIUS Group.

Footasylum recently announced plans to open a 6,000 sq ft store in the atria Watford shopping centre, and to undertake store expansions in Westfield Stratford City (which has now been completed) and Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex. It also opened a store in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, in December 2022, which was its first new opening since April 2021 and its first under its new owner.
