Flannels opens new store in Hertfordshire

Frasers Group has added another Flannels store to its growing portfolio, with the opening of a store in Hertfordshire.

Located at Brookfield Retail Park, the 15,000 sq ft store is split across two floors, offering luxury menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and accessories from brands such as Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Burberry, Tom Ford and Versace.

Lauren Barrie, Head of Luxury Retail Development at Frasers Group, said: "Continuing the momentum from the opening of our flagship stores earlier this year, we’re really proud to open our next regional boutique in the heart of Hertfordshire.

"As we continue to expand and develop our vision, the store brings to life the Flannels brand in a physical space - providing an engaging shopping destination, with the biggest brands in luxury fashion and contemporary streetwear all under one roof."

This latest store opening follows Frasers Group's decision to kick off a £70 million spending spree to buy up stock in the company, having revealed surging half-year profits and forecasts a jump in annual earnings. The group has also refinanced its bank loan facilities to secure nearly £1 billion, the largest funding package to be secured in the British retail sector this year.

James France, Head of Property at Frasers Group, added: "Since purchasing Brookfield Retail Park in 2019, we have invested significantly with the aim to breathe new life into the shopping destination, to offer a modern, aspirational shopping experience to the local customer. With the latest opening, Flannels brings a world-class luxury shopping experience to the retail park, with further plans from the group happening across the estate, which will come into effect in early 2022."

With this latest opening, Flannels now has a portfolio of more than 55 stores across the UK. The opening follows the launch of Flannels' regional flagship stores in Sheffield and Leicester. Flannels recently launch another store in Romford on Market Place.
