Dr. Martens collaborates with Haven on premium 1461 shoe

British shoe and boot maker Dr. Martens has collaborated with leading Canadian online destination for men’s contemporary fashion and streetwear, Haven, on a premium made in England version of its famous 1461 shoe.

Haven was founded by brothers Daniel and Arthur Chmielewski in 2006, and is renowned for curating innovative and premium products from some of the industry’s most coveted brands and designers, including Comme des Garçons, Engineered Garments, Human Made, Mountain Research, Needles, Visvim and Stone Island, as well as its Haven apparel own brand.

Expertly crafted in Dr. Martens’ Wollaston factory, the MIE 1461 Haven shoe is built from a mix of leathers from one of the most prestigious British tanneries – C. F. Stead.

The shoe takes Haven’s stripped back, functional looks and fuses them with the Dr. Martens subcultural classic work shoe, creating “a minimalistic silhouette that’s loud with both Canadian and British heritage”.

The shoes, which launch on the Haven and Dr. Martens website, as well as with select retailers, on 2 October 2021, are finished with a dual-branded sock liner and come with bespoke packaging.
