New York fashion brand Coach, best known for its quality leather bags and accessories, has opened its first-ever pop-up concept store in London, called ‘Tomorrow’s Vintage’.

The store, which will run until 16 January 2023 at 4 Market Street - part of east London’s Spitafields Market - is a celebration of the Coach ‘(Re) Loved’ programme, which is described as “a circular ecosystem for refurbishing, reimagining and recycling pre-loved products”.

The immersive store experience aims to bring the four unique pillars of Coach ‘(Re)Loved’ - upcrafted, vintage, restored and remade - to life through bespoke events and activations.

Coach

The store features a curated vintage space with upcycled and repurposed furniture crafted by local designers, where bags from Coach’s archival collection will be on display, including vintage styles originally created by American womenswear designer Bonnie Cashin, such as the ‘Dinky’, the ‘Saddle’ and the ‘Cashin Carry’.

In-store activations will include leather and personalisation workshops, as well as an “In Conversation With” series, where Coach will invite guests to discuss a wide range of sustainability-related topics, including vintage, circularity, thrifting and upcycling.

Visitors can also receive a range of services at the ‘Coach Craftsmanship Bar’, such as leather care to extend the life of their Coach bag, monogramming services, and customisation options including vintage patches.

Local artists will also be on-site to personalise leather goods with embroidery, and   customers can enjoy the complementary services with any purchase.

Coach

‘Tomorrow’s Vintage’ is designed tell the story of Coach’s more than 80-year legacy of “crafting products meant to be worn, loved and handed down for generations”.
