Joe Ulloa, Clarks’ Managing Director of the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and Africa, has stepped down from his role.

Ulloa joined the footwear brand as retail and franchise director of the UK and Europe in 2017, working his way up the ranks to Managing Director. Prior to his 6 year stint at Clarks, Ulloa held positions including Operations & Business Development Director at Halfords, Group Operations Director at Snow + Rock, and General Manager at L’OCCITANE Group.

Ulloa is currently a Board Advisor for Each Person, a company built to help businesses fulfil commitments to people and the planet.

Until a successor is appointed, Clarks’ Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Ram will manage the UK and Ireland team. Ram stepped into the CEO role of British footwear brand Clarks just last March.

A Clarks spokesperson said: "Clarks can confirm that after a successful period with the business, Joe Alloa has stepped down from his role as managing director for the UK, ROI & MEA and has left Clarks. CEO Jon Ram is leading the UK & Ireland team in the interim period as Clarks recruits Joe’s replacement."

Earlier this year, self-proclaimed 'creative Jedi', Set Free Richardson, was named as Clarks Originals new Creative Specialist.
