Christian Louboutin launches upcycled denim capsule collection with Selfridges
Christian Louboutin has launched a dedicated capsule collection as part of its Selfridges Project Earth initiative, crafted from upcycled denim sourced by global charity Caritas International.
The collection of mens and women shoes and leather goods will be available exclusively at Selfridges
Project Earth is Selfridges’ commitment to sustainability for the future. The initiative is based on three main areas: materials, models and mindsets. Project Earth encompasses a variety of retail concepts, design innovations, commitments, events and thought-provoking ideas–all aimed at radically changing the retail industry. Christian Louboutin will be the first luxury shoe brand to partner with Selfridges for this initiative.
The six-piece collection inspired by archival pieces will include mens trainers, womens pumps, boots and handbags all reimagined in upcycled denim. Each pair of shoes or bag is unique reflecting the past life of the denim- original denim pocket seams and stitching are integrated on each piece.
The Christian Louboutin exclusive Project Earth capsule collection will be available at Selfridges London when non-essential retail reopens, and online immediately.
