The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced Pandora as the Principal Partner of The Fashion Awards 2023, which is taking place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 4 December.

The Fashion Awards 2023 presented by Pandora will "bring together a global community in London, the home of fashion creativity", to amplify leaders of change, celebrate excellence in creativity and support the next generation of creative talent.

The event serves as the main fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, which supports the future growth and success of the British fashion industry through its focus on education, grant-giving, and business mentoring.

Pandora, which was founded in 1982, mirrors the awards commitment to promoting positive change within the industry and is dedicated to ensuring sustainability across its business.

The brand has committed to source only recycled silver and gold for its jewellery by 2025 and to achieve carbon neutrality within its own operations by the same year.

Caroline Rush, BFC Chief Executive, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Pandora as the Principal Partner of The Fashion Awards 2023. Pandora skilfully and consistently delivers high quality jewellery while democratising the industry, allowing everyone to express themselves through their timeless pieces.

"We look forward to working with Pandora to celebrate self-expression and the incredible work of those who have made significant contributions to the global fashion community this year."

Mary Carmen Gasco-Buisson, CMO at Pandora, added: "Partnering with the Fashion Awards is something that we are extremely proud of as Pandora deepens its engagement with the global cultural zeitgeist.

"The British Fashion Council is at the forefront of the global fashion conversation, and with our purpose of ‘giving a voice to people’s loves,’ we naturally align with their mission to recognise and celebrate the most creative and innovative voices of our time.

"Along with self-expression through personalisation, style and talent, we further unite around our core values, including a focus on accelerating sustainability and education."

With an aim to lead the jewellery and fashion industries with ambitious sustainability goals, Pandora has stopped use of mined stones altogether and introduced Pandora Lab Grown Diamonds, with collections featuring diamonds that are grown, cut and polished with 100% renewable energy and set in 100% recycled silver or gold.

Award categories at The Fashion Awards 2023 include Designer of the Year, Model of the Year, BFC Foundation Awards, British Menswear Designer, British Womenswear Designer, New Establishment Menswear and the New Establishment Womenswear – with the winners to be revealed on the night.

Last week, the BFC also announced that Italian designer Valentino Garavani – founder and former creative director of his eponymous fashion house - will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award.
