Victoria Beckham sparks rumours of Spice Girls reunion with Instagram post

Victoria Beckham has sparked frenzied speculation that she could reunite with her fellow Spice Girls this year on a series of projects, 20 years after Geri Horner (then Halliwell) left the group. It will be the second notable anniversary for Beckham this year who also marks 10 years in fashion.

Beckham posted an image on Instagram of the full Spice Girls line-up – Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm – that was believed to have been taken when they met up at Horner's house this afternoon.

Many took this as confirmation that a reunion would now take place. It is believed plans for a reunion were thwarted last year as Beckham was too busy working on her fashion label.

However the group are not expected to do a full tour together, but instead will release a compilation album, take part in a TV talent show and in endorsement deals. Simon Fuller, manager of the Spice Girls and backer of Beckham's fashion label, is said to be working on plans that would net each of the women £5m each.

Beckham is said to be keen to invest the money into her fashion label, which she launched with a small collection of dresses at private presentations at New York Fashion Week a decade ago. The label recently secured a £30m cash injection from Neo Investment Partners.

Beckham's fashion business spans her mainline, her Victoria, Victoria Beckham second line, footwear, handbags and accessories, as well as collaborations with Estée Lauder and Reebok. She is expected to stage a special show at London Fashion Week in September to mark the brand's 10-year anniversary.
