Zegna Group, the licensee of Tom Ford Fashion, has appointed Lelio Gavazza as the brand's new CEO.

Effective from 18 September 2023, Gavazza will bring over twenty years of experience in global luxury and luxury distribution to Tom Ford.

He will join the company from LVMH, where he currently serves as Executive Vice President, Sales & Retail at Bulgari.

As CEO of Tom Ford Fashion, Gavazza will be responsible for the end-to-end of the business, including collection development, merchandising, production, retail and wholesale distribution.

He said: “I am honoured to join Zegna Group as its CEO of Tom Ford Fashion and look forward to working with Ermenegildo Zegna and partnering with Guillaume Jesel to continue to foster the growth of Tom Ford at the pinnacle of luxury fashion.”

Designer Tom Ford sold his eponymous label, which he co-founded in 2005, to the Estée Lauder Companies last year.

Following the acquisition, Estée Lauder continues to manage Tom Ford's cosmetics and fragrance businesses, whilst Italian menswear group Zegna now operates a 30-year licensing deal for the brand's fashion and accessories.
