Todd Snyder revealed as ‘Designer Showcase’ at next Pitti Uomo with catwalk show

American menswear designer Todd Snyder, who has previously collaborated with brands including Champion, Converse and New Balance, has been named as the next ‘Designer Showcase’ for Pitti Uomo – with a catwalk show in Florence on 9 January 2024.

Taking place at Stazione Leopolda, the former train station converted into an industrial style event space in the Italian city, the show marks a “return to the runway” for the influential designer on day one of Pitti – which runs from 9-12 January at Fortezza da Basso.

Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Imagine, said: “I met Todd Snyder in New York about a year ago, on the occasion of our traditional appointment with the American press and during that long and pleasant conversation we both spontaneously agreed that it would be perfect for him to make his long awaited return to the catwalk one of the special events of our international men's fashion and lifestyle event.

“So, I am happy to announce that Todd Snyder, with his new collection, will be the protagonist of the Pitti Uomo 105 Designer Showcase. But this project is also Pitti's recognition of a long and brilliant career, characterised by the ability to constantly renew in tune with the spirit of the time, remaining faithful to an idea of modern elegance welded to the values of sustainability.

“Todd Snyder’s fashion show, scheduled for Tuesday 9 January, the opening day of the Pitti, opens the calendar of events of an edition that we have built to be strong, dynamic and full of inspirations for the entire sector, inside the Fortezza and in the city.”
