Timberland reunites with A-COLD-WALL*’s Samuel Ross on second collection

Timberland has launched the fourth Future73 drop, in collaboration with streetwear brand A-COLD-WALL*’s Founder and Designer Samuel Ross for the second time.

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Timberland launched Future73 earlier this year, inviting a team of six "future makers" to reimagine the boot.

Marking five decades of the original Timberland boot, the collective of creatives and designers assembled for Future73 include Christopher Raeburn, Founder and Designer of RAEBURN, Samuel Ross, Founder and Designer of A-COLD-WALL*, and Edison Chen, actor turned creator and Founder of CLOT.

Building upon the first collaboration, British designer Dr. Samuel Ross stayed true to the concept of his cult brand A-COLD-WALL*, which is renowned for its material investigation and innovation. The designer reimagined the original Timberland boot in  ‘Jet Black’ regenerative leather and a Gore-tex Heritage 3-Eye Lug silhouette. This time, the collaboration also sees archival apparel pieces brought to life.

The ethos of ‘imperfection and craft’ is a connecting thread throughout the line. For example, the Chore Coat has been hand-painted with a variety of pigments, overheated and distorted to make each piece unique.

Samuel Ross, Founder of A-COLD-WALL*, commented: "This collection is the return of craft, the return of family ateliers and the notion of apprenticeship, which needs to be protected. This is why we chose to make a lot of this capsule in Italy and to bring these hand techniques which you can't just replicate."

The second Timberland x Samuel Ross Future73 Collection is available online and in-store now, with prices ranging from £225-£710.
