THE INDUSTRY AND THE SCOTTISH FASHION AWARDS

The Industry London
06 March 2012

The 2012 Scottish Fashion Awards will take place in Glasgow in June. See how members of The Industry are getting involved.

The Industry’s media partner, Fashion Monitor has announced that it is going to be an official partner of the Scottish Fashion Awards. Now in its seventh year, the ceremony will take place at The Clyde Auditorium on June 11th, hosted by British style Icon, Alexa Chung. Industry member and Editor of Fashion Monitor, Hannah White says, 'Partnering the Scottish Fashion Awards is a perfect fit for Fashion Monitor. It will be a great delight to be part of such a prestigious event that highlights the best individuals in Scottish design talent. We are very much looking forward to supporting this year's winners and celebrating the best in Scottish fashion for 2012.'

The awards will feature catwalk shows by nominees, live music and a Swarovski runway show debuting the Winter 2012 Kingdom of Jewels collections.

Industry member Corrie Nielsen’s AW12 collection was selected for this year’s marketing campaign. ‘My AW12 collection, called Vestiarium Scoticum, was inspired by my great, great, great Scottish grandfather John S. Burns and my Scottish grandmother Tollie Burns. It’s a real honour to see key collection pieces used in the main imagery for the awards,’ says Corrie.
