Sylvia Ayton returns to Wallis for collaboration collection with Debenhams

Debenhams has launched a new exclusive five-piece outerwear collection for Wallis in collaboration with British designer Sylvia Ayton, a former Wallis designer who is making a welcome return for this winter season.

Ayton's designs include coats, capes and jackets, “combining premium craftmanship with ready-to-wear practicality”.

Adorned with floral embroidery and collar detailing, the collection includes wool pieces and velvet, “creating a texture-filled edit that is perfect for layering over both occasion wear and everyday staples”.

With a nod to Ayton's signature style, the colour palette of navy, black and scarlet keeps things traditional and classic, “with simple lines creating sophisticated silhouettes”.

Ayton said: “I am thrilled to, once again, be designing for Wallis, an iconic brand I hold close to my heart. This collection is true to my style, and I can’t wait to share these designs.”

Sylvia Ayton is “the latest name to join the Wallis family” along with fellow ambassador, and previous business partner, Zandra Rhodes, who has also curated a bespoke collection, as well as TV presenter and radio host, Lisa Snowdon, who became the first ambassador of the brand in June of this year.
