Swiss watch brand Swatch has opened the doors to an innovative store at London’s newest retail hotspot – the iconic Battersea Power Station.

The store layout takes inspiration from the Grade II listed landmark’s Art Deco architectural style. The ceilings are semi-exposed with mesh panels, set against Swatch’s modern and vibrant aesthetic.

Consisting of 581 sq ft, the space can host up to 400 different watches on display. It is located on the Upper Ground Floor, just off Turbine Hall B. Swatch opts for an immersive atmosphere, ensuring that consumers can interact with the products before making their final purchase.

The retail space offers a selection of classic styles and contemporary options from new collections, such as the covetable Bioceramic MoonSwatch that's constantly sort after by the brand's loyal following. It will also house a selection of sister brand Flik Flak’s watches and a Swatch X You space, where customers can create and personalise their timepieces.

This store launch comes after the Battersea Power Station confirmed watch companies IWC Schaffhausen and Beaverbrooks to open units in the shopping centre as part of the revival. Simon Murphy, Battersea Power Station Development Company Boss, commented: "It has taken a lot of hard work, determination, and the continued commitment of the Malaysian shareholders over the past ten years to bring Battersea Power Station back to its former glory."
