Sézane to open second London store in Marylebone

French brand Sézane is to open its second London store, or "Appartement", in London next week in the upscale neighbourhood of Marylebone.

The brand, which is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary year, already has a physical presence in London with its store in Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill (pictured above).

It is understood the new store at 28-29 Marylebone High Street, which gives the brand a more central London location, will showcase product from the Sézane womenswear range, including styles specifically developed for the UK, along with some product from its menswear line Octobre Editions.

The brand has promoted the opening on its Instagram page and has revealed the opening date as Friday 3 November.

It forms part of a wider store opening plan for the brand worldwide with new stores also having been opened in the French city of Lyon and a pop-up in Hamburg, Germany.

Sézane is a digital first brand and built is reputation via social media but has expanded with some conviction into physical retail in recent years. It has a number of Appartements in its home city of Paris, along with further stores in Bordeaux, Aix-en-Provence, Lille and now Lyon.

It is also present in key cities in the US, including New York, Seattle, Boston and San Francisco.

The brand hit the headlines in the UK recently when the Princess of Wales wore a cream knitted co-ord set on a visit to Nottingham Trent University.

Founded by Morgane Sézalory, Sézane offers French "cool girl" chic for accessible prices. It drops regular collections on its site on a Sunday with key pieces often selling out within minutes; restocks and returns are uploaded on a Wednesday.

The brand has the backing of the L'Oréal founding family's fund Téthys Invest as well as investor General Atlantic, which first invested in 2018 marking the start of a period of rapid expansion for the brand.
