Selfridges to open permanent three-screen cinema
Selfridges is to become the world's first department to store to incorporate a permanent cinema from November.
As the Oxford Street flagship store continues to elevate its customer experience it has partnered with boutique cinema chain Olympic Studios, to create a permanent three-screen cinema which will be accessible from inside the store, as well as from the street.
The largest screening room will house 80 seats, and the facility will show blockbuster movies as well as independent films with Frozen 2 and Le Mans 66 among the first films on offer. A priority membership scheme will also be available.
Managing director Simon Forster said the initiative was “a very exciting yet natural extension to what Selfridges does, which is to provide customers with an extraordinary experience all year round”.
