Music star Rihanna is stepping down as the CEO of her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, which she founded five years ago.

She will be replaced by Hillary Super, former CEO of Anthropologie Group. Effective from today (26 June), Rihanna will remain in a leadership role as Executive Chair.

Rihanna told Vogue Business: "It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years.

"This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer.

"I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.”

Super joins Savage X Fenty from Anthropologie Group, where she served as Global CEO since 2017. She has also previously held leadership positions at retailers, including Guess, American Eagle and Gap.

As CEO of Savage X Fenty, Vogue Business said Super hopes to expand the brand's footprint beyond e-commerce, with a better focus on bricks-and-mortar and wholesale.
