Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A. has announced that Alessandro Corsi, the company's CFO and Manager responsible for preparing financial reports, has resigned effective 30 September 2023.

The Company, whose origins date back to 1927, expressed its thanks to Alessandro Corsi for his contribution over the years, and said it would "communicate the name of the successor to the market in accordance with the terms provided for by applicable laws."

Corsi is exiting the company to take on a new professional challenge, which he is yet to provide further detail on.

Back in 2019, he took over from Ugo Giorcelli. However, he previously joined Salvatore Ferragamo in 2003, working on financial planning and control. He climbed the ranks and was later appointed Director of Group Business Development and E-commerce. After Ferragamo was listed on the stock exchange, Corsi took on the role of Investor Relations Director but was later appointed Chief Strategy Officer in 2018.

Earlier in March, Designer Maximilian Davis was appointed Creative Director of the  Italian luxury brand. Davis, who graduated from London College of Fashion, founded his eponymous brand Maximilian in 2020. He replaced Paul Andrew as Creative Director, who left the role at Salvatore Ferragamo last year.
