Pre-owned and, in some cases, unworn designer items are being made available on Luxury Stores at Amazon in Europe for the first time from today as the e-commerce giant partners with resale platform Hardly Ever Worn It.

Family-run Hardly Ever Worn It has built a reputation for offering high quality pre-loved, and often unworn, luxury fashion, accessories and jewellery from some of the world's most desirable luxury houses as well, as sought-after premium brands.

Today Hardly Ever Worn It has opened a shopfront on the Amazon Luxury Stores platform to enable it to offer a curated selection of items to a wider audience across UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, with each item having undergone a meticulous quality and authenticity process.

“We’re thrilled to expand our luxury offering with Hardly Ever Worn It this year, to include more of our customers’ favourite brands and styles," said Ruth Diaz, VP, Amazon Fashion Europe. “We’re always looking to innovate and engage with our diverse customers, and launching pre-owned goods allows us to do just that, whilst also creating an opportunity for us to offer our customers accessible luxury."

To mark the launch a fresh spring campaign has been launched, where Amazon invites customers to discover ‘luxury finds, loved before’. Shot against foliage and flowers in a dramatic hothouse and plush garden setting, models Ikram Abdi and Noel Capri appear in a colourful collection of Hardly Ever Worn It’s luxury finds. The campaign is shot by Ben Weller and styled by Ashlee Barrett-Bourmier.

Hardly Ever Worn It CEO Tatiana Wolter Ferguson said the move marked "a new level of visibility for luxury resale". "Our collaboration with Amazon is a testament to our commitment to making high-end circular fashion accessible to a diverse and wide-reaching audience. By joining one of the world’s most trusted market places, we are able to bring this to fruition, enabling more people to experience the joy of resale," Wolter Ferguson said.

First launched in the US in September 2020, with leading fashion house Oscar de la Renta, Luxury Stores at Amazon in Europe arrived in 2022, offering ready-to-wear collections from both established and emerging luxury fashion brands, including the likes of Dundas, Elie Saab, Mira Mikati, Rianna+Nina, Boglioli, Jonathan Cohen and Altuzarra.

Collections on the Luxury Stores platform can be sold directly from the participating brands and designers, allowing them to make decisions independently regarding their inventory, selection and pricing. Amazon also allows designers and brands to create and personalise original content to help them target existing and new luxury customers.
