Pokémon teams up with Converse for 25th Anniversary Footwear and Apparel Collection
Japanese media franchise Pokémon is celebrating its quarter anniversary by linking up with long-time partner Converse, to launch an assortment of footwear and apparel items featuring the series’ original class of characters.
The collection brings back the Kanto region, the first Pokémon world, with the original class of Pokémon interpreted on Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Star icon. Highlights include the Pokémon x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star "First Partners" decorated with original characters such Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff and Pikachu, as well as the Poké Ball Chuck Taylor All Star, which features an all-over pattern of Pokémon printed against a white canvas upper and a domed, squeezable Poké Ball as an added fun element
The collection also includes the Easy-On Chuck Taylor All Star Ox for infants, a heavy-metal inspired Pokémon 25th Celebration Hoodie featuring "electrified" Converse and Pokémon graphics and "tour stops" from the world of Pokémon on the back and a range of accessories from backpacks to camp caps.
Fans can also design their own unique Pokémon Converse on the Chuck Taylor All Star and Chuck 70 through its digital customisation service, Converse By You.
The Pokémon x Converse collection is available from 10 December on its online store and select retailers, with prices from £35.
