P.S. RENTAL luxury wedding dress platform launches

A new dedicated luxury wedding dress and accessories rental platform has launched today called P.S. RENTAL, giving brides-to-be the opportunity to access revered designers at a fraction of the retail price.

Founded by celebrity stylists Ella Gaskell and Zoe Graham, P.S. RENTAL builds on the duo’s already successful personal styling platform for brides that was launched during lockdown, which has seen them amass information from over 4,500 budding brides.

With the average cost of a luxury wedding dress sitting at around £3,500, P.S. RENTAL dresses can be loaned for just 30% of the retail value, “making the unachievable, achievable for many brides to be”.

Gaskell and Graham have spent over 17 years between them working with high profile VIPs and designers, and it is that comprehensive network that has allowed the pair to stock dresses from some of the most sought after established and emerging designers including Dior, Oscar De La Renta, Suzanne Neville, Halfpenny, Nikeen Asar, Savin London and Sassi Holford.

Gaskell, who is herself getting married in May 2023 and renting her wedding dress, accessories and bridesmaids’ dresses from P.S. RENTAL, said: “I always wanted to rent my wedding dress, the idea of buying something you wear once and then sits in the loft is madness!

“For my wedding, I am looking for a show-stopping gown but don't feel the need to buy it new. I found the current bridal rental offer doesn't match up to what myself and other brides were looking for, that is why we are launching P.S. RENTAL.

“With all our favourite designers and styles on the platform, every bride can have their moment whilst also helping the planet.”

Additionally, brides who have dresses gathering dust at the back of their wardrobes will be able to submit for approval and evaluation by P.S. RENTAL, encouraging brides to think about circularity and extending the life of a garment, while also offering a financial incentive.

Gaskell added: “On average a wedding dress is the most expensive item of clothing a woman will buy in her lifetime. We all feel the pressure to look our best and spend a disproportionate amount to do so. We want to empower women to get that wedding dress out the loft and make some money back.”

Brides can try up to three dresses at home at a time, costing between £30-£50 per try on session - depending on the amount of dresses requested. Once a dress or accessories have been chosen it’s possible for a bride to ‘book’ those items up to a year in advance. Temporary alterations are possible under the watchful eye of the P.S. RENTAL team and implemented by experienced seamstresses.

With P.S. RENTAL, dresses and accessories can be loaned for up to 28 days. At the end of the rental period dresses are returned, professionally clean and repaired if needed, ready for the next bride.
