Nicky Dulieu stands down from John Lewis board
Nicky Dulieu, a seasoned board director and former CEO of Hobbs, has stood down from the board of the John Lewis Partnership after just seven months.
Dulieu was appointed by outgoing John Lewis chair Sharon White as non-executive director and head of the audit and risk committee. According to reports Dulieu said that the role as not "compatible with her existing time commitments".
She is also a non-executive director of WH Smith, Redrow Homes, Unite Students and a member of the board of trustees at Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association and a commercial board member of the Royal Horticultural Society.
Prior to her non-executive portfolio career Dulieu was chairman of garden centre chain Notcutts and was with Hobbs from 2006 and 2014 starting as finance director and moving up to the role of CEO and was briefly a non-executive director towards the end of her tenure.
Her appointment at John Lewis was said to help address a lack of retail experience on the board of the department store and grocer partnership. Dame Sharon, a former Ofcom CEO, revealed in October that she would not be seeking reappointment to the chair's role when her five-year tenure expires in February 2025.
