Moss Bros opens Savoy Taylors Guild store at Bicester Village

British tailoring brand Moss Bros has opened a branch of Savoy Taylors Guild at Bicester Village selling its own collection as well as a range of premium menswear brands.

The 1,200sq ft store has been designed as an homage to the original store on London's Strand and offers brands including Richard James, Kilgour, Cerruti, Hardy Aimes, Ted Baker, DKNY and more. It is located alongside Boss, Missoni and Mulberry at the Oxfordshire luxury outlet destination.

Retail design specialist HMKM designed and executed the concept which was "based round the notion of a playboy gentleman", according to HMKM associate director interior design Adam Shilton.

"[He is] a discerning yet irreverent character, who enjoys the best life has to offer - and needs a wardrobe to match. Classic country house cues, from wall panelling to moulded plasterwork, are reinterpreted to create a distinctive new interior language. Classic furniture pieces are abstracted and deconstructed to give Savoy Taylors Guild's tailoring offer a sophisticated new context and in keeping with that vision, the reworked brand identity gives elegant Edwardian typography a witty, modern twist," Shilton explained.

Savoy Taylors Guild was founded in 1906 and was once owned by The Savoy Hotel. Today the brand offers "a treasure trove of refined tailoring-led menswear, embracing the highest quality fabrics and traditions of Savile Row", alongside a curated selection of premium tailoring brands.
