Mary Katrantzou unveils Moose Knuckles collaboration at LFW

Mary Katrantzou revealed a collaboration with cult Canadian outerwear brand Moose Knuckles as part of her London Fashion Week show.

The designer showed a collection of coats, bombers and parkas that were elevated by her styling, fabric selections, prints, embroidery and embellishments, and which were inspired by Victorian interiors.

"Moose Knuckles allowed me to bring femininity and colour to the rugged world of technical outerwear. We translated the key narratives of the season into a variety of high-end coats interwoven with signature patterns and customized damasks to elevate outerwear beyond the everyday," Katrantzou said.

The collaboration afforded Moose Knuckles, which is known for its bold and witty branding, a serious fashion-forward platform at London Fashion Week and Tu Ly, design director at the brand, said the "truly collaborative" partnership with Katrantzou was fuelled by a mutual love of fashion.

"Together we have completely transformed Moose Knuckles’ signature jackets with Mary’s incredible selection of rich fabrications and exclusive custom print designs,” Ly added. The collection will be rolled out to select stores this autumn.

A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Katrantzou quickly made her mark in fashion with her trompe l'oeil prints on jersey-bonded dresses. Today she boasts more than 100 high-end retailer partners globally including Selfridges, Joyce, Matchesfashion.com, Toplife, Harrods and Bergdorf Goodman.

Her first solo exhibition, Mary Queen of Prints, is currently running at the Dallas Contemporary museum.
