Canadian yoga and activewear brand Lululemon will be opening a flagship on London’s Regent Street this winter, following a raft of new openings from international brands on the prestigious shopping street.

The new Lululemon store takes the brand’s London store count to five; it already has stores in Covent Garden, Marylebone High Steet, King’s Road and Westfield White City. It also has a store in Richmond-upon-Thames in Surrey.

Lululemon will occupy 187-189 Regent Street which covers 8,200 sq ft. It is currently occupied by Gant, which will be relocating to 184-186.

The opening is the latest step in the £1bn investment programme in Regent Street being carried out by its owner The Crown Estate. “Lululemon’s new flagship on Regent Street will showcase the brand’s fantastic range of cutting edge, technical sportswear, whilst providing a truly unique and innovative in-store experience for shoppers," said asset manager for The Crown Estate’s Regent Street Portfolio Katerina Mercury. "We’re delighted to be working with lululemon to bring this exciting new concept to Regent Street.”

Twenty brands have opened stores on Regent Street in the past year including American brands Kate Spade and Michael Kors while Polo Ralph Lauren and Coach's new stores are set to open soon.
