Lucy & Yak to launch limited edition print dungarees for charity in anti-Black Friday stance

Conscious clothing brand Lucy & Yak is launching dungarees featuring a limited-edition print, with 100% of net profit going to the brand’s charity partner, Fior Di Loto, in its latest stand against the “overconsumption” of Black Friday.

The dungarees will be sold exclusively at Lucy & Yak stores and on its website during the Black Friday period of 21-27 November 2023.

Additionally, during that same period, when “upholding positive impact” is the brand’s goal, Lucy & Yak will also be donating half of all profits to the foundation, in line with its donation to the charity for ‘Fior Di Loto Friday’ since 2018.

The unique print features a compilation of sketches by the girls supported by the Fior Di Loto charity, which focuses on providing an education and improving the living conditions of more than 700 girls living in the villages surrounding Pushkar and Rajasthan in North West India - where the first Lucy & Yak dungarees, or ‘Yaks’ as they are known, were originally made.

The limited edition print has been inspired by the girls’ favourite things found in nature, including birds, flowers, animals and insects, “resulting in a medley of vibrant images”.

“We love supporting the girls through their education years and beyond and wanted to celebrate their creativity this year with this new limited-edition dungaree. This print can’t help but make you smile and as well as looking good, it's doing good too.”

The dungarees are made from GOTS-Certified organic cotton twill fabric and feature extra big chest and hip pockets, with a relaxed and comfortable fit. They will be available in sizes 4 – 32, in regular or long, priced at £69.
