Kipling launches Peanuts collaboration featuring Snoopy
Bag and accessories brand Kipling has launched a collaboration collection of nine bags featuring the much-loved Snoopy character from the Peanuts comic strip.
Each bag features the distinctive hand-drawn style of Snoopy creator Charles M. Schulz, who first penned Peanuts in 1950.
The bags are lined with a bright red interior paying homage to Snoopy’s doghouse, on top of which the character was often illustrated lying down, staring up at the sky and dreaming the day away. The mood is enhanced by the ‘Red Roof Bag’ silhouette, which takes the form of the doghouse itself.
The playful collection, crafted in tonal colourways across denim-look fabrications, includes a mix of Kipling styles such as the cross-body ‘Gabbie Mini’, ‘Riri’ and ‘Elvin’ - which features a red doghouse airpod pouch added to the strap.
There’s also a miniature version of Kipling’s ‘Bina’ style, a larger scale ‘City Pack’ backpack, a ‘Creativity’ clutch bag and tote style ‘Merita’.
A second tote style, the ‘Art M Pet Bag’, comes with an angled opening, waterproof lining and padded bottom, "making it a perfect bag for any animal lovers who want to carry their own dogs with them".
Other details include a silver Kipling logo and a silicone cartoon of Snoopy, in typical relaxing pose. Kipling’s well known monkey charm can also be found dangling from the zips of selected bags – wearing a red sweater and sunglasses in the style of Snoopy’s Joe Cool persona.
The collection is available from today on the Kipling website, with prices ranging from £78 - £146.
