John Lewis recruits former N Brown marketing specialist as Head of Customer Planning & Channels

John Lewis has appointed Andreas Nicolaides to lead its newly created customer planning team as Head of Customer Planning & Channels, commencing in October 2023.

Nicolaides was most recently General Manager at N Brown, owner of fashion retailers JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo, where he spent four years leading a team of marketing, digital and commercial professionals with responsibility for trading and commercial performance.

His key role at John Lewis will be to maximise impact of marketing budget across channels, including modernising and optimising marketing across stores and online “in a way which deepens relationships with its customers”, while delivering commercial value to the business.

Nicolaides’ early career included four years at Moneysupermarket (from July 2010 to July 2014) where he looked after SEO and paid search across all channels. Additionally, his extensive agency experience, including at media and marketing agency, Carat, has involved driving performance marketing for a wide range of retailers including Boohoo, Halfords, Thomas Cook, and The Fragrance Shop.
