In Pictures: Mango's hotly anticipated collaboration with Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham's hotly anticipated collaboration with global fashion giant Mango has landed. It is the first time the British designer has collaborated with the high street and the new collection distils her signature aesthetic and presents it at a more accessible price point for a wider audience.

Inspired by the film La Piscine (1969) starring the late style icon Jane Birkin, the collection takes its cues from 70s style "at its most sophisticated" to propose a versatile day-to-night wardrobe.

The collection encompasses tailoring, feminine lingerie dresses, knitwear and accessories (including footwear, bags and jewellery) with prices positioned at the higher end of the high street bracket. A long trench coat is priced at £300, a cream tailored jacket is priced at £180, tailored trousers at £115, while a standout crochet dress wit cut out back is priced at £115.

Designed to be timeless the collection is crafted from natural fabrics such as linen, cotton and silk in a neutral palette of white, black, ecru, butter with touches of blue, peach or mauve pink throughout.

The landmark collaboration was announced last month and coincides with the 40th anniversary of Spanish fashion group Mango.
